For race directors

Keep your registration system. Add PodiumBase around the race.

PodiumBase runs alongside whatever registration provider you use today. One event, activated with you by our team, adds a sponsor-ready gallery, athlete photo discovery, race-day check-in, organizer reporting, and athlete follow-up. Native registration is there when you want it, never required on day one.

Heard before

You do not have to change anything to try this.

We already give photos away for free.

You can keep giving photos away. PodiumBase adds the searchable gallery, sponsor placement, athlete follow-up, and event reporting around it. The gallery earns its place even when you never sell a photo.

We already use another registration platform.

Keep it. The event page, gallery, check-in, and reporting all work without moving registration. Native registration is optional, later, if the numbers convince you.

We do not want to migrate before seeing results.

You do not migrate anything. Activate one event and judge the results per event: gallery traffic, athlete matches, transactions, check-in throughput.

We do not have time for another setup project.

Activation is concierge. You give us the event details, we configure the page, gallery, sponsor treatment, and athlete path, and you review everything before launch.

The money argument

One race page. Three ways it pays.

Rail 01

Photo revenue

Athletes find themselves by bib search or selfie and buy the shots they want. Works with your existing photographers or ours.

  • Who paysAthletes buy per photo
  • Your share20% of every sale
  • If freeThe rail becomes sponsor value instead
Rail 02

Sponsor inventory

You sell sponsor packages; PodiumBase builds the inventory they buy. Shared previews and free downloads carry the sponsor mark with them.

  • Who paysSponsors pay you; you set package pricing
  • PlacementEvent page, gallery, photo watermarks
  • WatermarkOn previews + free downloads; purchased photos delivered clean
  • After activationA sponsor-ready package sheet you can sell from
Rail 03

Registration commerce

When you are ready: native checkout in the same cart as photos and merchandise. Optional; the other two rails do not depend on it.

  • Fee$1 + 5% per entry
  • Who paysRunner pays the platform fee, or you absorb it

Native registration$1 + 5% per entry

How it works

Questions

Asked by operators.

Do we need to change registration providers?
No. External mode leaves registration with your current provider. The event page, gallery, check-in, and reporting all work around it.
Can we give photos away for free?
Yes. Free galleries run on PodiumBase, with sponsor watermarking, finish-time overlays where results are available, and athlete search on top.
Can sponsors appear on the gallery or watermark?
Yes. We can apply sponsor watermarks to previews and free downloads, place the sponsor on the gallery and event page, and structure tiered packages during activation. Purchased photos are delivered clean.
Can athletes buy photos?
Yes. Athletes find their shots by bib search or selfie and buy the ones they want, and you earn 20% of every sale.
Can PodiumBase handle registration?
Yes, when you choose it. Native checkout runs at $1 + 5% per entry, with coupons, add-ons, donations, and merchandise in the same cart. You choose whether the runner pays the platform fee or you absorb it. It is optional.
What does setup require?
It is concierge. You provide event and organizer details; we configure the page, gallery, sponsor treatment, and athlete path; you review everything before launch.
Can I create my event without waiting for a response?
Yes. Submit the activation form, create or sign in to your organizer account, choose an organization, and open the new-event form. Our team can help with activation, but a response is not required before you start.
What does the first event cost?
No listing fee and no setup fee. We talk through the revenue model in the activation conversation.
What happens after the first event?
We review the numbers together: gallery traffic, athlete matches, transactions, check-in results. Then you expand, stay as is, or stop.
