Finding and accepting work
Use your opportunities inbox to find races to shoot and accept the ones you want.
Your opportunities
Your opportunities page is where invitations and open assignments from race directors land. It holds direct invites sent to you plus open opportunities you can browse and apply to. Guaranteed-pay terms, where they exist, are shown up front.
Reading an opportunity
Open an opportunity to see the details before you commit:
- Shooters needed: how many photographers the race director wants.
- Earnings: the pay range, or a note if it is not disclosed.
- Apply deadline: how long you have to respond.
- A description from the race director about what they are looking for.
Applying and accepting
Apply to the opportunities you want. Your application then shows a status such as submitted, approved, awaiting your response, or not selected, and any note from the race director appears with it. When you are invited or applying, you can authorize the organization so they can assign you to a coverage zone without you typing their details.
Once you are accepted, your shoot shows up in your work, and your pre-race brief unlocks. See Understanding your pre-race brief.
